It is not all about Motor Cycle Road Racing.

Darley Moor Centre is famous for Motorcycle Road Racing, but it also hosts a variety of lesser-known activities year-round. Check out our upcoming events page to see what’s happening in August and September. You’ll be surprised by the many different uses of the venue throughout the season. We’re always open to new ideas, so feel free to call us to discuss any activity you have in mind. Even better, drop by on a weekend for a chat over tea or coffee about your proposal.

The Race Track

The Race Track on Darley Moor Centre is 1.5 miles in length with a minimum width of 10 metres (31 feet) and a maximum width of 12.5 metres (40 feet) with a good quality tarmac surface. It is licenced by the Auto-Cycle Union for Motor Cycle Racing, the MS(UK) for Kart Racing, the BCF for Cycle Racing. It is also used for Duathlon Racing (Running & Cycle races as a joint activity).

Community Projects

The Centre is a key spot for Driver and Motorcycle training for Derbyshire and Staffordshire Police before they hit the public roads. Derbyshire Police also use it for training their dogs. Scouts get involved in Scout Carting and earn their Cycle Proficiency badges on the track, while local Scouts and Guides enjoy camping on the grassland. Plus, a few local schools make the most of the venue for nature walks and birdwatching on the grassland. Why not join in on the nature walks, contact us for  more information using the contact form
